After a 2015 route that heavily favoured the climbers like Nairo Quintana, the 2016 Tour has a slightly more balanced route, with more time trial kilometers included.
The race is 3517km long, with 9 mountain stages including a finish at the summit of Mont Ventoux, 2 time trials and 7 sprint stages.
